Welcome to our 2024 Afterschool Program!

Registration is open now for youth aged 7 to 17!

Join us for an unforgettable school year filled with engaging, fun activities designed to promote academic success, good character & leadership, and healthy lifestyles.

About Our Afterschool Program

  • Our Afterschool Program is designed to provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment for kids and teens (ages 7-17) after the school day ends. Open from 2 to 7 PM, Monday through Friday, our program is packed with a variety of activities that cater to all interests and age groups.

    Program Highlights:
    Free Membership: There are no fees or requirements to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint. Get started by filling out an online membership application here.

    Free Meals & Snacks: Snack and supper are provided to all Club members, free of charge, through a partnership with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Snack is served from 3:30 to 4:30 PM daily, and supper is served from 5:30 to 6:30 PM daily. Club members are welcome to bring their own snacks, meals, or beverages to the Club with them.

    Special Events & Opportunities: Club members will enjoy a variety of special parties, events, and activities throughout the Afterschool program. Some examples of recent events include a Sneaker Ball, holiday celebrations, exotic wildlife experiences, college & career exploration opportunities, sports tournaments, and more.

    Mental Health: Youth can participate in activities designed to support mental wellness, including mindfulness exercises and stress-relief techniques, with Mrs. Haley, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Mott Children’s Health Center.

    Teen-Focused Programming & Space: The Averill Club features a dedicated teens-only longue room and teens-only fitness room. Our full-time Teen Service Specialist plans engaging activities, field trips, and guest speakers to enhance the teen experience.

    Friendship & Mentorship: Club kids build lasting friendships and receive guidance from caring adult and teen mentors.
