At Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint, our consistent, recurring volunteers play a pivotal role in shaping the Great Futures of our Club’s youth. Your dedication transforms ordinary afternoons into extraordinary opportunities for growth, learning, and fun.
As a recurring volunteer, you’ll provide one-on-one mentorship, homework help, program assistance, friendship, and so much more to our Club members! Whether you’d like to come once a month to read with our littlest kiddos, or want to come every day to help Teens with school assignments, we have the opportunity for you.To become a recurring volunteer, please:
1. Submit a Recurring Volunteer Application using the button below.
2. Once that is submitted, keep an eye on your email inbox for next step instructions!
3. Submit a background check (instructions in email) in person at the Club or through our online portal (coming soon!).
4. Complete the REQUIRED online BGCA Child Safety and Mandated Reporter Training (instructions in email). (Approx. 1.5 hours)
5. Attend a Volunteer Orientation session at the Averill Club location. Volunteer Orientations are typically schedules for the first Thursday of each month at 2PM and the second Thursday of each month at 10AM. To sign up for your session, click the "Training & Resources" button below.

Are you looking for a meaningful way to engage your team or group in community service? Large-group volunteer projects at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint provide the perfect opportunity for corporate teams, community organizations, schools, and other large groups to make a significant impact in the lives of local youth.
Large-group volunteer projects are designed to accommodate groups of 10 or more individuals who want to work together to support our Club's mission. These projects are ideal for team-building activities, corporate social responsibility initiatives, or community service days. Types of projects can include: facility beautification, special youth program events (college/career fairs, educational activities, sports tournaments, etc), special initiatives (hygiene bag packing, bike giveaways, etc), and more.

Spring Clean Up 2024 was a huge success! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of over 75 volunteers, we were able to fill 23 yard bags and transform our Averill Club building.
Spring Clean Up 2025:

3:00 PM- Wrap Up ProjectsVolunteers of all ages are invited to roll up their sleeves and tackle a variety of tasks, from decluttering and organizing indoor spaces to refreshing outdoor areas with landscaping and painting. Breakfast and sign-in will begin at 8 AM, and Clean Up will commence at 9 AM.
