Taproots at camp Walden
3-Day camp & Summer campership

We are thrilled to announce that we are continuing our partnership with Camp Walden for a third consecutive year! Over the past two summers, Club members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint have had the incredible opportunity to participate in Taproots at Camp Walden, a transformative 3-day summer camp experience. For Taproots Mini-Week 2024, Club members from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint will be joined by youth from Brilliant Detroit.

About Taproots at Camp Walden: Taproots at Camp Walden is committed to promoting opportunity and diversity at summer camp. We provide programming and camp tuition so kids from low-income households have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Each August, kids from the Boys & Girls Club in Flint attend the Taproots Mini-Week Program at Camp Walden. Kids participating in the mini-week travel to Camp Walden for a four-day sleep-away camp experience. Mini-Week offers kids a taste of the independence and activities of overnight camp - campfires & s'mores, mess hall meals, swimming in the lake, arts & crafts, sports & games, cabin life, and much more. Learn more here.

Through our partnership with Camp Walden, we're offering our youth the opportunity of a lifetime. For just $500, you can sponsor one Club member to experience three unforgettable days at Camp Walden. Three days filled with adventure, growth, and memories that will last a lifetime.

But why stop there? For $2,800, you can make an even bigger impact by sending a Club youth to Camp Walden for two weeks. Two weeks of exploration, learning, and personal development that will shape their future in profound ways.

Your donation isn't just a contribution—it's a gift of possibility. It's a chance to provide a child with an experience they'll cherish forever. It's an investment in their potential, their confidence, and their happiness.
