Boys & Girls Club Honored as Favorite Non-Profit in 2021 City Choice Awards

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint are thrilled to announce its award by My City Magazine! The Club tied with Whaley Children’s Center for Favorite Charity/Non-Profit in this year’s awards.
“It’s truly an honor to be recognized by My City Magazine and to tie for first is a blessing. I know all of the hard work and extra effort that staff put forth for kids in the community, and we take great pride in that,” said Joseph Shelby, Board President.
The organization shifted services during the pandemic to provide a safe, positive place for youth to log into virtual school and receive a daily breakfast, lunch, and snack.
“We all know this has been a challenging time, yet the Club found a way to help kids with homework and distribute meals and essential items to families in need. For the Boys & Girls Club to be recognized by the community means so much,” Mr. Shelby added.
