2024 Summer Program

Our Summer Program is designed to provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment for kids and teens (ages 7-17) during the summer months. Running from 12 to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, this program is packed with a variety of activities that cater to all interests and age groups.

Program Highlights:
Free Membership: There are no fees or requirements to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint. Get started by filling out an online membership application here.

Meet Up & Eat Up: Lunch and snack are provided to all Club members, free of charge, through the Meet Up & Eat Up program at Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Both Clubs are community Meet Up & Eat Up locations.

Field Trips: Our Summer Program features numerous exciting field trip opportunities designed to provide new experiences, learning opportunities, and plenty of fun. Our goal is to provide a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone, making sure each child has the opportunity to participate in at least one field trip during the summer.

Mental Health: Youth can participate in activities designed to support mental wellness, including mindfulness exercises and stress-relief techniques, with Mrs. Haley, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Mott Children’s Health Center. (Averill only)

Teen-Focused Programming & Space: Each Club features a dedicated teens-only room, and our Averill location includes a teens-only fitness room. Our full-time Teen Service Specialists at each site plan engaging activities, field trips, and guest speakers to enhance the teen experience.

Summer Brain Gain: Club members engage in educational activities aimed at preventing summer learning loss, making learning fun and interactive.

Friendship & Mentorship: Club kids build lasting friendships and receive guidance from caring adult and teen mentors.

Looking for morning childcare that’s both fun, educational, and affordable? Our Early Bird Program at the Averill location is the perfect solution! Running from 9 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Friday, this program offers a safe, engaging environment for kids aged 7 to 17 while you start your day. Club members enrolled in the Early Bird program are automatically registered for the Summer Program, so they’re welcome to stay at the Club all day (until 5 PM).

The best part? It’s FREE to join. No registration fees or per-day cost.
